STRAUSS X EURO 2024
As one of the lead sponsors of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, STRAUSS had a unique opportunity to communicate its brand message to its faithful domestic customer base as well as millions of consumers in new markets around the world. The company wanted to do this in English, and STRAUSS asked WestWord for help.
The Details
STRAUSS has a long history in football sponsorships. These sponsorships are a key part of STRAUSS’ business strategy, particularly in new markets. How could the company activate around this opportunity in a way that appealed to its core customers AND people seeing its logo for the first time?
In the months prior to the tournament, WestWord worked closely with the stakeholders at STRAUSS, regularly meeting in person to develop a strategy and create marketing assets that would speak to STRAUSS’ customers, new and old.
That was just the beginning.
When the final whistle blew, and Spain began its celebrations, WestWord had written the in-stadium advertisements seen by millions, run the campaign’s PR/communications, and written the invitations and other assets the company used for a bespoke VIP fan experience that STRAUSS offered select guests throughout the tournament.
It’s been a wild ride. We’re already looking forward to EURO 2028.
